Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcsnottem lands a head kick. Roman smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Roman blocks a head kick by Mcsnottem.
Roman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mcsnottem can pounce on him.

Roman shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcsnottem tries to sprawl out of it but Roman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcsnottem manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mcsnottem fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Roman.

Roman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mcsnottem manages to avoid it.

William Mcsnottem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcsnottem tries to avoid it but Roman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcsnottem to the ground. Mcsnottem escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Roman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mcsnottem is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Roman asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Roman tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Roman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mcsnottem some visible discomfort.

Mcsnottem trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Roman is looking to take a break and control but Mcsnottem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mcsnottem takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Roman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Roman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Roman is looking to take a break and control but Mcsnottem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
