Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoshi Kajiwara!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haan misses with a combination
and Kajiwara counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Haan swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kajiwara counters with a shoot takedown. Haan fights it but they end up in guard.
Kajiwara is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Let's hope that Kajiwara has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Haan has a hand on Kajiwara's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kajiwara takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Kajiwara has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Haan has gone for a leg lock! Kajiwara slips out almost immediately though and dives into Haan's guard.

Haan has momentary wrist control but Kajiwara slips an elbow through the middle.
