Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Filo Bedo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zak Mckracken! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mckracken throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bedo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bedo misses with a left hand and Mckracken counters with a left and a right that stings Bedo. Bedo takes one to the side of the head.
Bedo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mckracken swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bedo blocks a jab. Mckracken dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bedo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mckracken, pushing him back against the cage. Bedo scores with an uppercut up the middle. Bedo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mckracken avoids the head kick by Bedo.
Bedo misses with an uppercut
and Mckracken counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bedo throws a combination that misses and Mckracken counters with a one-two to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mckracken fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mckracken uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bedo. Bedo looks to clinch and Mckracken counters with a lovely shot to the body. Bedo connects with a body shot. Bedo connects with a high kick. Bedo works the jab nicely. Mckracken throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd cheers as Mckracken lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bedo doesn't seem phased though. Bedo moves out of range of the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bedo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mckracken lands with a nice combination. Bedo backs away looking to recover. Bedo is looking to clinch but Mckracken is avoiding it.
Mckracken misses with a hook to the body
letting Bedo counter with a right hand. Mckracken misses with a body shot.
Bedo lands a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mckracken misses the shot to the body. Bedo misses with a shot to the body and Mckracken counters with a lovely shot to the body. Mckracken throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bedo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Bedo. Bedo tries to clinch up and Mckracken counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mckracken throws a right hand that misses
and Bedo counters with a nice body kick.
Mckracken clobbers Bedo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A slow jab from Mckracken misses its intended target. Bedo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mckracken digs a good body shot into Bedo's ribs. Bedo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Filo Bedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bedo is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bedo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bedo misses with a right hand and Mckracken counters with a two punch combo. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bedo slips under a jab. Bedo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mckracken. Mckracken lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Filo Bedo dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bedo throws a sloppy head kick and Mckracken moves out of range easily. Mckracken throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mckracken throws a sloppy body shot
and Bedo counters with a head kick. That will keep Mckracken thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Mckracken is rocked! Mckracken is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Bedo Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Mckracken is out cold, face down on the mat!
