Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Eduardo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Tank!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eduardo cracks a nice hook into Tank's ribs.

and Tank counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tank.
Eduardo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Tank with a flurry of punches that miss.

Eduardo controls Tank momentarily but Tank frees himself.
Tank throws a strike but Eduardo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Eduardo postures up in Tank's guard and throws a big left but Tank blocks it.
Eduardo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tank keeping moving, preventing Eduardo from controlling successfully.
Eduardo pushes down on Tank's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tank wants to get back to his feet.
Eduardo is keen to just control but Tank is a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tank can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Eduardo wants to free his trapped foot but Tank is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Eduardo is looking to take a break and control but Tank is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Eduardo in particular looking to stall.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Eduardo prevents Tank from standing back up.
Tank is staying active underneath Eduardo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

We're going to have a standup here because Luis Eduardo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Tank shoots in and bounces Eduardo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Eduardo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Eduardo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tank!

Tank is in a horrible position here. Eduardo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Eduardo wants to control the pace but Tank is squirming around nicely.

Eduardo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tank because Eduardo loaded up on that one.
Tank in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Mike Tank has got the better of the ground game so far.
Eduardo tries to control but Tank wriggling away.

Eduardo has control of Tank's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tank regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Eduardo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tank is looking to escape.

It looks like Mike Tank has been cut.

Eduardo throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Tank has his hands clasped together but Eduardo breaks the hold and Tank is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Eduardo!
