Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Puerro Armantes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Domink Stansbury!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stansbury tries for a takedown but Armantes circles away easily
letting Armantes counter with a right hand.
Stansbury avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Armantes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stansbury swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Armantes closes the distance but Stansbury moves to the side
and Stansbury counters with a takedown into side control.
Stansbury throws an elbow but Armantes slips to the side and avoids it well.
Armantes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stansbury on the ground.
Stansbury lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Armantes down.
Armantes pushes Stansbury away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stansbury gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Stansbury trying to control the action but Armantes is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stansbury tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stansbury has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Armantes tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Armantes controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Armantes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stansbury cracks Armantes with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Armantes from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Stansbury lands punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Armantes holding both Stansbury 's hands and preventing any damage.
Stansbury has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Armantes is in real trouble here. Stansbury gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Armantes is tapping out! Stansbury wins by rear naked choke!
