Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zani Kallark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Melo Gapuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prince Melo Gapuz looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zani Kallark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Prince Melo Gapuz!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gapuz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kallark swivels and escapes.
Kallark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gapuz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kallark lands with a nice combination. Gapuz backs away looking to recover.

Kallark scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Kallark prevents Gapuz from improving his position.

Kallark is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gapuz defends it well.
Kallark is looking to take a break and control but Gapuz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kallark is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gapuz is just riding it out for now. Kallark eventually gives up the hold.

Kallark with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kallark really is a fat lump.
Gapuz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Kallark is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gapuz has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gapuz!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kallark has his foot on Gapuz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gapuz works his way back into a safe position though.

Kallark stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Gapuz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Kallark connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gapuz avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kallark looks to land a combination but Gapuz avoids it well.
Gapuz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kallark is fending him off so far but Gapuz persists. Nope, Kallark circles away and we're back to standing.
Zani Kallark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Prince Melo Gapuz.
Gapuz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kallark works over Gapuz's head and body with a nice combination.
Kallark thuds his right hand into Gapuz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gapuz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kallark throws a head kick that misses.
Kallark scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gapuz blocks a head kick by Kallark.
Gapuz has a takedown stuffed.
Kallark scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kallark throws a right hand that Gapuz ducks under and follows up with a left that Gapuz also avoids with ease.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kallark shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kallark was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gapuz really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kallark knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gapuz on the ground.
Gapuz bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gapuz's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Kallark has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gapuz has passed into side control.
Kallark regains half guard.
Kallark moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kallark wants to sweep but no luck.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gapuz postures up.
Gapuz is pushing down on Kallark's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kallark is fighting to maintain full guard but Gapuz has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kallark tries to get to full guard but Gapuz has control of the leg.

Kallark looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zani Kallark dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kallark lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gapuz backs up against the cage.
Kallark plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kallark closes the distance and lands a one-two.


Gapuz is rocked!
Kallark lands with a big left! Gapuz is wobbled badly! Kallark comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Gapuz to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Zani Kallark!
