Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renen Nathan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Kozak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adrian Kozak is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Renen Nathan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adrian Kozak! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kozak is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nathan's half guard. Nathan has one foot on Kozak's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Kozak shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nathan's guard. Kozak trying to control but Nathan is working from the bottom. Kozak stopping the sweep attempt from Nathan. Kozak looking to sit in guard and control but Nathan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kozak is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Kozak is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nathan defends well. Kozak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nathan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kozak keeping moving, preventing Nathan from controlling successfully. Kozak keeping full guard, as Nathan tries to pass. Nathan stays in close to Kozak's body and controls the position. Kozak wants to sweep here but Nathan controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Renen Nathan wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nathan tries to bum rush Kozak with a series of wild strikes but Kozak uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nathan tries to sprawl but Kozak drives through with a takedown into half guard. Nathan is in trouble now - Kozak has advanced to mount! Kozak looks gassed! Kozak is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nathan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nathan wants to control but Kozak is having none of it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kozak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nathan is looking to escape. Nathan working to try and regain half guard.
Nathan is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nathan tries to hold on but Kozak postures up. Nathan regains half guard. Kozak tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Nathan is trying to maintain the position but Kozak is very close to passing his half guard. Kozak passes into side control, despite Nathan's attempt to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nathan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kozak's best efforts. Nathan regains full guard. Nicely done. Nathan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kozak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nathan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kozak landing some decent shots from guard. Nathan keeping moving, preventing Kozak from controlling successfully. Kozak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrian Kozak dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nathan rushes Kozak and presses him up against the cage. Kozak trying to land knees to the body.
Nathan wants the takedown. Kozak is fighting it off but Nathan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kozak's guard against the cage. Nathan won't allow Kozak to sweep him here. Nathan wants to control from the top but Kozak keeps moving. Nathan tries to free his leg and advance position but Kozak is retaining full guard. Nathan prevents Kozak from getting back to his feet. Nathan sitting in guard here, content to control.
We're going to have a standup here because Renen Nathan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Nathan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kozak throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Nathan stands up and waves to Kozak to follow him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nathan wants to clinch up but Kozak keeps it at a distance. Nathan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kozak tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nathan is in Kozak's guard. Nathan advances to half guard. Kozak tries to roll over but Nathan keeps him under control. Nathan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Kozak shoots and misses and Nathan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Nathan looking to sit in guard and control but Kozak gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kozak postures up in Nathan's guard and throws a big left but Nathan blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nathan has his foot on Kozak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kozak works his way back into a safe position though. Kozak decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kozak has his takedown stuffed and Nathan counters with a nice kick to the body. Nathan fakes the leg kick and cracks Kozak in the body. Nathan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kozak avoids it really well and circles away. Kozak shoots and misses and Nathan counters with a takedown into side control. Renen Nathan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Kozak. Nathan is looking to take a break and control but Kozak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kozak tries to control but Nathan manages to take his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozak turns into Nathan and is now in his guard.

Nathan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kozak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nathan is trying to control the position but Kozak postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nathan is really struggling to control Kozak but he's trying to hold on to the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Renen Nathan. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nathan is defended easily by Kozak.

Kozak gets caught napping as Nathan dives in and scores a takedown. Kozak manages to retain guard. Nathan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kozak is looking to sweep but instead, Nathan has passed into half guard.
Kozak is pressing down on Nathan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nathan stands and steps away. Kozak gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Nathan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kozak did well to prevent Nathan getting side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Renen Nathan dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Nathan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kozak manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Nathan trying to control the position from guard on top but Kozak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kozak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nathan defends it easily. Nathan trying to control but Kozak is working from the bottom. Nathan looking to sit in guard and control but Kozak gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kozak wants to control from the top but Nathan keeps moving. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nathan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kozak is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kozak avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kozak gets tackled into the cage by Nathan. Nathan maintains the clinch. Nathan jumps guard and drags Kozak to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Kozak throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozak won't allow Nathan to sweep him here. Nathan wants to get back to his feet but Kozak is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kozak gets to his feet. Nathan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kozak with a lazy takedown attempt and Nathan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nathan. Nathan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kozak's efforts to push away. Nathan breaks from the clinch.
Kozak misses with a takedown and Nathan counters with a nice double leg into guard. Renen Nathan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Kozak. Nathan looking to sit in guard and control but Kozak gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kozak lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nathan controls Kozak momentarily but Kozak frees himself. Nathan working a defensive guard but Kozak passes into half guard.
Nathan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kozak is working away from the top position though. Kozak postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Nathan to stand up. Nathan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Renen Nathan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kozak takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Kozak is trying to control Nathan's posture but Nathan avoids it. Kozak tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nathan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Renen Nathan showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nathan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
