Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hoban Washburne!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washburne misses with a series of wild punches.

Washburne feints and as Hemingway raises his hands in defense, Washburne changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Washburne wants to pass the guard but Hemingway is keeping the position.
Hemingway not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hemingway manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Hemingway jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Washburne is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Washburne and Hemingway has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Washburne sneaks out the side door and pushes Hemingway away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Hemingway has his foot on Washburne's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Washburne works his way back into a safe position though.

Hemingway is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Washburne pulls his head out easily.

Washburne landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Washburne seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hemingway does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hemingway keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Washburne closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Washburne lands in his opponent's guard.
Washburne has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hemingway is proving hard to escape from.

Hemingway had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Washburne is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hemingway Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Washburne's back instead.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Washburne tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Washburne bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Hemingway working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Washburne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Washburne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hemingway lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Washburne!

Hemingway wants to finish this one by submission but Washburne is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hemingway.

Hemingway has isolated one of Washburne's arms. Washburne looking to fight him off but Hemingway twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
