The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chestnar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Evans as he avoids it easily.
Evans looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Evans tries to clinch but Chestnar moves out of range.

Evans is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chestnar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Evans's guard.

Evans has hold of Chestnar's hands but Chestnar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Evans is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Chestnar scores with a couple of nice shots.
Chestnar drops an elbow to the side of Evans's head.
Evans gets back to full guard.
Chestnar distracts Evans with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Chestnar trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Evans manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Evans is looking to work some ground and pound but Chestnar has wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chestnar slips a jab and a cross from Evans.

Evans lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Cock Chestnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evans looks to land a combination. Chestnar sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Chestnar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Evans throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Evans tries to bum rush Chestnar with a series of wild strikes but Chestnar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rashad Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cock Chestnar.
Chestnar takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Chestnar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Chestnar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
It looks like Rashad Evans has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Chestnar is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Evans can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Evans is rocked!
Chestnar loads up with a big shot that hurts Evans! He's pulled Chestnar in close but Chestnar has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Evans survive? More strikes from Chestnar and Evans is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
