Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ramoan Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank James!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva is looking to clinch.
James throws a predictable looking body shot

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. James won't be happy with that.
Silva throws an elbow but James slips to the side and avoids it well.
Silva controls the position.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by James, who protects the arm well.
Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
You can see the frustration on James's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
James is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and James defends it well.

Silva gets caught napping as James dives in and scores a takedown. Silva manages to retain guard.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and James has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between James's legs - danger averted.

Silva gets to his feet - James follows without any prompting.

and James counters with a nice body shot.
James lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

James drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James is trying to improve his position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
James manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but James is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

James thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
James wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there.

James is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Silva is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Silva has escaped and now he's on top!

Frank James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
