Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miles DAvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Warren Raithert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DAvis's entrance music is Miles DAvis - someday my prince will come. A fine choice. Warren Raithert has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Miles DAvis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miles DAvis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Warren Raithert! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raithert stalks DAvis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into DAvis's face. DAvis staggers backwards, shaken. DAvis misses with a takedown attempt and Raithert counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Raithert. Raithert is looking to stand up but DAvis won't let him. Raithert trying to control the position from guard on top but DAvis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. DAvis has a closed guard, preventing Raithert from standing up. Raithert trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Raithert throws and elbow that misses. DAvis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Raithert's guard. Nice move by DAvis! DAvis trying to control but Raithert is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raithert wants to stand but DAvis is controlling the position. DAvis wants to pass the guard but Raithert is keeping the position. DAvis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Raithert connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Raithert scores with a one two! DAvis had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raithert throws a sloppy head kick and DAvis moves out of range easily. Raithert pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DAvis fails with a takedown attempt from distance. DAvis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miles DAvis. That's going to take a lot out of him. DAvis avoids the head kick by Raithert.
Raithert throws a head kick that misses. DAvis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Raithert but Raithert pushes him off and we're back to square one. DAvis dodges the punch combination from Raithert.
Raithert closes the distance and lands a one-two. Raithert throws a right hand that DAvis ducks under and follows up with a left that DAvis also avoids with ease. Raithert swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
DAvis misses with a double jab
so Raithert counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. DAvis is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. DAvis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Raithert wants to get up but he can't break DAvis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. DAvis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Raithert wants to stand but DAvis is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. DAvis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Raithert defends it easily. Raithert looking to sit in guard and control but DAvis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Raithert avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Warren Raithert dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Raithert fails with the takedown and DAvis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Raithert moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. DAvis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Raithert swivels and escapes. Raithert pushes DAvis up against the cage in a clinch. DAvis wants a takedown but no success here.
Raithert breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. DAvis scores a takedown into full mount! Raithert really wants to buck DAvis off and get back to his feet. Raithert is breathing heavily. DAvis thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's one minute gone in the round. DAvis wants to control the pace but Raithert is squirming around nicely. DAvis goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Raithert turns into him and now he's in DAvis's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Raithert tries to stand but DAvis is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. DAvis is pulling down on Raithert's head to control his posture. DAvis keeping moving, preventing Raithert from controlling successfully. Raithert wants to pass the guard but DAvis is keeping the position. Raithert looking to sit in guard and control but DAvis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DAvis stays in close to Raithert's body and controls the position. DAvis has gone for a leg lock! Raithert slips out almost immediately though and dives into DAvis's guard. Raithert pushing down on DAvis's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Raithert wants to control but DAvis is keeping him busy. Raithert misses with a head shot. DAvis uses the momentum to regain guard. DAvis keeping full guard, as Raithert tries to pass. Raithert would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. DAvis is pulling down on Raithert's head. It's preventing any offense from Raithert, at least for the moment. Raithert stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. DAvis swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Miles DAvis will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
DAvis has his takedown stuffed and Raithert counters with a series of strikes. DAvis will be more careful next time no doubt. Raithert clinches. Raithert unloads a knee to the mid-section. DAvis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Raithert successfully pulls guard.
DAvis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Raithert swivels though and keeps the full guard. Raithert pushes DAvis off and gets back to his feet.
DAvis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Raithert works a leg free and moves into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raithert tries to stand and escape but DAvis actually recovers to full guard. Raithert trying to control the position from guard on top but DAvis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. DAvis is pulling down on Raithert's head. It's preventing any offense from Raithert, at least for the moment. Warren Raithert has got the better of the ground game so far. Raithert trying to stand up but can't free himself from DAvis's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. DAvis has control of Raithert's left arm, preventing Raithert from doing any damage. Raithert would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. DAvis doesn't succeed with the takedown and Raithert counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. DAvis wants to clinch up but Raithert keeps it at a distance. DAvis shoots in looking for a takedown. Raithert tries to sprawl out of it but DAvis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Raithert manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miles DAvis. That's going to take a lot out of him. DAvis throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Raithert throws a body kick that misses. DAvis shoots in looking for a takedown. Raithert tries to sprawl out of it but DAvis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Raithert manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. DAvis misses with a takedown and Raithert holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Raithert turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Raithert manages to end up in side control. Raithert tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Raithert wants to stand but DAvis has his arm trapped. Raithert fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Raithert tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Raithert tries to advance to mount but can't. Raithert is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. DAvis is trying to control Raithert's posture but Raithert avoids it. Raithert tries to stand but DAvis is controlling his head. Raithert goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, DAvis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Raithert's guard! Nice work there by DAvis!
And that's the end of the fight! Warren Raithert comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Raithert has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
