Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zaru Kayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacare Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zaru Kayne has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza looks to score with a jab to the body but Kayne is just out of range.
Kayne throws out a powerful jab.
Kayne throws a right hand that Souza ducks under and follows up with a left that Souza also avoids with ease.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kayne.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kayne.
Donk. Kayne catches Souza right on the button with a cross.

Kayne swings for the body but Souza moves out of range.
Kayne lands a head shot.

Kayne throws a right hand that Souza ducks under and follows up with a left that Souza also avoids with ease.
Kayne feints and then cracks Souza's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Souza down.
Souza seems to have recovered his senses.

Kayne misses with a wild body shot.
Kayne throws a series of punches but Souza moves out of range.
Souza looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kayne is fending him off so far but Souza persists. Nope, Kayne circles away and we're back to standing.
Crunch! Kayne slams his shin into Souza's torso.
Kayne feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Souza's calf.
Souza shoots in for a takedown but Kayne shows good takedown defense.

Kayne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kayne lands a head kick. Souza smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Souza takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Kayne lands with a nice combination. Souza backs away looking to recover.

Kayne uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Souza is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kayne is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Souza.

Souza misses with a takedown attempt - Kayne sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kayne lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Souza tries to clinch but Kayne moves out of range.
Souza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Souza misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Souza goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kayne turns into him and now he's in Souza's guard.

Kayne has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kayne wants to stand but Souza is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kayne wants to get up but he can't break Souza's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Souza wants to hit a switch here but Kayne passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Souza there!
Souza is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Souza gets back to half guard.
Souza wants to improve his position but Kayne is controlling well.

Kayne wants to stand up but Souza has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Kayne stands up out of the half guard.
Kayne throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kayne misses with a jab to the body
and Souza counters with a shoot takedown. Kayne fights it but they end up in guard.
Souza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Souzais looking to pass into half guard but Kayne pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kayne is in guard.
Kayne controlling from the top position.
Souza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kayne can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Souza escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kayne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Souza has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kayne should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Souza has tightened it up now! Kayne should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
