Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pantero Athrox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crisostomo Ibarra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pantero Athrox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crisostomo Ibarra!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Athrox throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ibarra was covering up waiting for the punch and Athrox finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ibarra has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Athrox can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Athrox got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ibarra has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Athrox has managed to get both his arms back between Ibarra's legs - danger averted.
Athrox thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Athrox passes Ibarra's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Athrox is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Athrox maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ibarra could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Athrox has cracked it and Ibarra is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Athrox!
