Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corleone has chosen Direct Hit!/Mixtapes - Werewolf Shame as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Nakamura dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Corleone. That did some damage!

and Nakamura counters with a good low kick that Corleone was not able to check.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters circling - Nakamura throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Nakamura counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Corleone's guard now.
Corleone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Nakamura not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Nakamura seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Corleone for as long as he can get away with.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nakamura accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nakamura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Corleone has momentary wrist control but Nakamura slips an elbow through the middle.

Nakamura is trying hard to land a takedown here. Corleone sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Rich Corleone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Nakamura feints and then cracks Corleone's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Corleone down.

That kick from Nakamura tenderised Corleone's leg. Corleone is trying to keep his angry face on.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nakamura working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Corleone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Nakamura is tightening it up a little... Corleone has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Corleone reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Corleone taps out! nice BJJ there by Nakamura!
