Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rice Pilaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pilaf has chosen chinese rap as his entrance music. Rice Pilaf is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Hand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rice Pilaf!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pilaf shoots in but Hand avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hand misses with a wild body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pilaf tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hand swivels and escapes.
Pilaf shoots in for a double leg but Hand sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dan Hand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rice Pilaf.
Nice defenses there by Pilaf.
Pilaf looks for a takedown but Hand sprawls well.
Hand scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pilaf doesn't seem bothered though.
Hand swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Pilaf closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hand circles away.
Pilaf moves forwards but Hand connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hand tries to bum rush Pilaf with a series of wild strikes but Pilaf uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pilaf uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hand.
Pilaf moves out of range of the strikes.
Hand fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pilaf manages to avoid it.
Hand scores with a hook to the body. Pilaf takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Pilaf looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Hand scores with a hook.

Pilaf closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hand is looking to reverse the position.

Pilaf is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hand knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pilaf works to advance to full mount. Hand defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Hand tries to reverse the position but Pilaf maintains control.

Pilaf looking to secure an arm triangle but Hand defends it well.

Pilaf working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hand turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Pilaf off and cradles Hand's limp body as Pilaf celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rice Pilaf!
