4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taisto Kovakanki! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gominori throws a series of punches but Kovakanki avoids them all with ease. Kovakanki fails with an attempt to clinch.

Gominori drops Kovakanki with a right and a left! Gominori comes rushing in but Kovakanki regains his composure and manages to keep Gominori in guard.

Kovakanki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gominori keeps working. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kovakanki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gominori swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gominori misses with a two punch combination.

Gominori has hold of Kovakanki's hands but Kovakanki slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Gominori wants to improve his position but Kovakanki is controlling well.
Kovakanki is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Gominori has managed to free his arm - good work. Kovakanki is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kovakanki wants to control but Gominori is keeping him busy. Kovakanki scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gominori misses with a double jab.
