The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janosik shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gonzales sprawls well. Gonzales wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Janosik gets slowly back to his feet.
Gonzales closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gonzales lands in his opponent's guard.
Janosik is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Janosik has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gonzales doesn't defend quickly enough and Janosik has managed to lock this one up! Can Gonzales escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Janosik on a fantastic submission victory.
