The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ornias scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kiernan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kiernan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ornias shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kiernan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ornias passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ornias cracks Kiernan with a big right hand but Kiernan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ornias is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kiernan is trying to escape and Ornias transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kiernan is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ornias! Very nice indeed!
