Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Rizzo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Ul Haq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mohammed Ul Haq was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Rizzo Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Mohammed Ul Haq!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzo Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ul Haq swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Rizzo Jr holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rizzo Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ul Haq stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rizzo Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Rizzo Jr will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rizzo Jr comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ul Haq shoots for a double leg takedown but Rizzo Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Ul Haq's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ul Haq takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rizzo Jr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ul Haq shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rizzo Jr pinned against the cage. Rizzo Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

It looks like Mohammed Ul Haq has been cut.
Mohammed Ul Haq seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rizzo Jr lands with a hook. Ul Haq tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That has opened up Mohammed Ul Haq's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mohammed Ul Haq's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
