Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Setright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Smoke the Fire as his entrance music. Johnny Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Setright looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Smith is looking for a sweep. Setright is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Smith has hold of Setright's hands but Setright slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Smith wants to stand up but Setright is controlling him.
Setright throws a strike but Smith rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Johnny Smith hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Setright can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Setright looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Smith wants to control but Setright is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Setright knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground.
