Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anti Midas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donkerello Punchistan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Midas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is CunninLynguists - Hellfire . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anti Midas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Donkerello Punchistan! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punchistan closes the distance looking to clinch and Midas counters with a thumping low kick. Punchistan tries to clinch but fails miserably and Midas counters with a left to the body. Punchistan wants to clinch but Midas slips to the side and Midas counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Punchistan's guard now. Midas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Punchistan wants to get back to his feet but Midas is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Punchistan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Midas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Midas with a nice head shot there. Midas is pushing down on Punchistan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Punchistan is fighting to maintain full guard but Midas has managed to sneak the leg through. Midas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Midas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Midas wants to pass to mount but Punchistan is defending the position. Punchistan wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Midas connects with a nice short shot to Punchistan's temple. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Midas slips a nice elbow through Punchistan's hands, connecting with Punchistan's forehead. Midas winds up and cracks Punchistan with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Midas drops an elbow to the side of Punchistan's head. Midas winds up and cracks Punchistan with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Midas looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Midas passes to side control. Midas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Midas lands a few punches from side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Punchistan is letting Midas control him for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Punchistan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Midas regains full guard. Nicely done. Midas is controlling Punchistan's posture. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Midas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Punchistan manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Midas stays in close to Punchistan's body and controls the position. Midas wants to pass the guard but Punchistan is keeping the position. Punchistan wants to stand up but Midas is controlling him. Midas works a leg free and moves into half guard. Midas slows the pace down in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Midas is nestled in close to Punchistan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Punchistan is trying to stand back up but Midas is controlling him
Punchistan misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Midas passes the guard and advances to mount! Midas tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Midas lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Midas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. BOOM! Midas connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Punchistan tries to hold on but Midas pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Midas has control of Punchistan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Punchistan regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Midas is working for a guillotine from mount but Punchistan frees his head quite easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Midas landing strikes from the mount and Punchistan is in trouble! Midas lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Punchistan hang on? Punchistan taking shots to the head. Punchistan trying desperately to get to his feet.
Punchistan looks gassed! Midas breaks from Punchistan's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Midas working away from the top, dropping strikes. Midas controlling from mount. Midas lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anti Midas dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Punchistan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Punchistan tries to clinch up and Midas counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Midas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Punchistan's half guard. Midas is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Punchistan is trying to stand.
Midas moves nicely into side control. Midas scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Punchistan to see if he's OK. Punchistan is breathing heavily. Punchistan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Midas creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Anti Midas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Midas passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Punchistan!
That's one minute gone in the round. Midas looking to control and managing it successfully. Midas is landing with some decent strikes but Punchistan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Midas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Punchistan can do to turn this around? Punchistan is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Midas landing shots from mount.
Punchistan is rocked! Oooooh, big shot lands for Midas! Punchistan is hurt baaadly! Midas is firing away with more strikes - Punchistan is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anti Midas!
