The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Loughlin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Damato throws a leg kick
and Loughlin counters with a slapping leg kick.
Damato looks for the body kick but Loughlin saw that one coming.
Damato fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Loughlin manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Damato throws the kick towards the body but Loughlin avoids it.

and Damato counters with a right hand to the body.
Damato buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Damato swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Damato counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Damato counters with a good, hard body kick but Loughlin shrugs it off.

and Loughlin counters with a left to the body.

Damato clobbers Loughlin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Damato throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Loughlin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Damato throws a wild body kick that Loughlin sees coming a mile off.
Loughlin throws an off balance right hand
and Damato counters with a nice uppercut.
Loughlin looks to throw the jab but Damato is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Damato takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Damato counters with a thumping low kick.

Loughlin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

A looping hook to the body misses from Loughlin. Damato does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Loughlin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Loughlin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Damato thows a body shot but no joy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

and Damato counters with a slapping leg kick.

letting Damato counter with a right hand.
Damato lands with a shot to the body.
Loughlin checks the leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Laurent Loughlin.
Well Damato has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
