Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lopez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Scott I counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lopez! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Scott I working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Scott I goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Lopez is on top in guard.
Scott I controlling the position. Lopez wants to control from the top but Scott I keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lopez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bario Lopez has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. No joy there for Lopez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Scott I tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lopez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Scott I somewhat. Scott I shoots and misses and Lopez counters with a straight right hand. Scott I uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lopez.

and Scott I decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lopez's guard. Scott I drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lopez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Scott I has Lopez in his guard. Scott I keeping moving, preventing Lopez from controlling successfully. Scott I pulls Lopez in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Joesy Scott I just wasn't active enough. Scott I blocks a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lopez leaves Scott I with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joesy Scott I. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lopez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Scott I shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lopez sprawls well. Lopez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Scott I gets slowly back to his feet. Lopez throws a right hand that misses
and Scott I counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Scott I. Scott I drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Scott I jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Scott I has gone for a leg lock! Lopez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Scott I's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Scott I seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lopez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Scott I is proving hard to escape from. Scott I might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Scott I is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lopez tries to land a front kick but Scott I steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Lopez misses with a left hand and Scott I counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lopez's guard now. Scott I drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Scott I jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Scott I has gone for a leg lock! Lopez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Scott I's guard. Scott I is adopting a defensive guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez looking to sit in guard and control but Scott I gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Scott I drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Scott I jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scott I drops back looking for a leg! Lopez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lopez manages to kick Scott I off! Scott I jumps back into Lopez's guard. Scott I drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Scott I jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Joesy Scott I dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lopez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lopez misses with a body shot.
Lopez takes a swing at Scott I's ribcage but misses. Bario Lopez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Scott I showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lopez.

Scott I is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lopez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lopez has escaped and now he's on top! Scott I is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Bario Lopez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez throwing strikes but missing. Scott I has control of Lopez's left arm, preventing Lopez from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Scott I working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lopez. Lopez wants to get up but he can't break Scott I's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Joesy Scott I wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lopez connects with a body shot that sends Scott I's belly button to the back. Scott I fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Joesy Scott I showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scott I, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
