Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Brown Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hewitt comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stricken by Disturbed kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado leaves Hewitt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A left lands for Machado.

Hewitt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Machado tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hewitt is in Machado's guard.

A jab from Machado finds it's way through Hewitt's defenses.
Hewitt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machado's waist but Machado gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hewitt off to one side.
Hewitt is trying hard to land a takedown here. Machado sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Machado throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hewitt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Machado lands with an uppercut that bounces Hewitt off the cage and back into rage.
Hewitt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hewitt looks gassed!
Machado lands a nice hook to Hewitt's body. Hewitt takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hewitt has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Thomas Brown Hewitt has been cut.

Machado moves into range and connects with a jab.
Machado cracks Hewitt with an open hand slap.
Hewitt doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Machado throws a good cross that connects.

Machado is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Machado lands a nice shot that snaps Hewitt's head back.

Machado looks to land a combination. Hewitt sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Machado works the jab nicely.

Hewitt walks into a stiff left hand from Machado.

Thomas Brown Hewitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

BOOM! Machado lands a beautiful left hook that drops Hewitt. Hewitt tries to recover but Machado is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Hewitt lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
