Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taku Yamaguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Guru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taku Yamaguchi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ground Guru! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Yamaguchi enables Guru to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Yamaguchi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Yamaguchi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guru defends it easily. Guru wants to control from the top but Yamaguchi keeps moving. Yamaguchi seems keen to control Guru's posture. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Guru thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Yamaguchi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Guru trying to control but Yamaguchi is working from the bottom. Yamaguchi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Yamaguchi looking to control.
Guru thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Yamaguchi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Guru defends well. Yamaguchi trying to control the position.
Yamaguchi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Guru is one step ahead there. Guru slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. You can see the frustration on Yamaguchi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Yamaguchi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Guru wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guru misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Guru has hold of Yamaguchi's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Yamaguchi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Guru cranks the arm and Yamaguchi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Yamaguchi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ground Guru!
