Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Georges St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Korecky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Georges St Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Korecky! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre misses with a takedown attempt and Korecky counters with a two punch combo. St Pierre wants to clinch up but Korecky keeps it at a distance. Korecky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but St Pierre paws at him with a jab and circles away. Korecky shoots in looking for a takedown. St Pierre tries to sprawl out of it but Korecky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. St Pierre manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. St Pierre moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
St Pierre closes the distance looking to clinch and Korecky counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. St Pierre moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. St Pierre is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Korecky wants to get up but he can't break St Pierre's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre looking to hit a scissor sweep but Korecky is one step ahead there. Korecky drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and St Pierre dives on top into guard. St Pierre throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Korecky is trying to keep St Pierre in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. St Pierre has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. St Pierre gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. No luck with that takedown attempt from Korecky. A head kick misses from St Pierre. St Pierre throws a head kick that Korecky semi-blocks.
It looks like Tim Korecky has been cut. Korecky closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Korecky lands in his opponent's guard. Korecky looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Korecky wants to control from the top but St Pierre keeps moving. Korecky must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. St Pierre working a defensive guard here.
Korecky won't allow St Pierre to sweep him here. Korecky slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Korecky throws a strike but St Pierre rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. St Pierre stands up from guard. Let's bang! Korecky tries to sprawl but St Pierre drives through with a takedown into half guard. St Pierre is taking a breather. Korecky says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Korecky is not content to let St Pierre control the position. Korecky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St Pierre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Korecky wants to control but St Pierre is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. St Pierre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Korecky keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Georges St Pierre will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tim Korecky's cut. That's time! St Pierre's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
St Pierre manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Korecky on his heels. He'll look to pass Korecky's guard now, I'm sure. St Pierre stands up from Korecky's guard - St Pierre perhaps looking for a knockout. St Pierre pushes Korecky up against the cage in a clinch. St Pierre is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Korecky gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. St Pierre breaks the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Korecky trying to control but St Pierre is working from the bottom. Korecky looking to sit in guard and control but St Pierre gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. St Pierre postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. St Pierre lands a leg kick that knocks Korecky off balance momentarily. Korecky misses with a takedown and St Pierre moves into the clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by St Pierre. St Pierre jumps into guard, dragging Korecky to the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Korecky's guard. St Pierre gets to his feet - Korecky follows without any prompting. St Pierre shoots in and gets a takedown into Korecky's guard. Korecky looking to sweep here. No luck so far. St Pierre stands and steps away. Korecky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. St Pierre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Korecky is fending him off so far but St Pierre persists. Nope, Korecky circles away and we're back to standing. St Pierre throws a head kick that misses. St Pierre tries to clinch up but Korecky circles away and keeps his distance. Georges St Pierre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. St Pierre is looking to clinch but Korecky is avoiding it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre misses with a takedown and Korecky counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in St Pierre's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Georges St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now St Pierre is on top in guard.

Korecky has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from St Pierre. St Pierre shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Korecky but Korecky pushes him off and we're back to square one. St Pierre misses with a takedown attempt and Korecky counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Korecky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. St Pierre is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Korecky jumps guard but St Pierre stands there with Korecky around his waist. Korecky gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Korecky fails with the takedown so St Pierre counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Georges St Pierre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Korecky. St Pierre advances to half guard. Korecky trying to get back to full guard but St Pierre takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Korecky is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Korecky flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. St Pierre anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Korecky and secures both hooks! This could be bad! St Pierre slips an arm under Korecky chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. St Pierre has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. St Pierre is squeezing on Korecky like an anaconda would it's prey. Korecky fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
