Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Up Yours! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Remy Bonjasky! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yours shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Yours is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bonjasky is defending against the submission attempts here by Yours.
Bonjasky is looking for a sweep. Yours is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Yours is working for a submission of some sort.
Bonjasky tries to kick Yours off but Yours keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yours is looking for a kimura but Bonjasky is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yours to get the leverage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bonjasky is defending against the submission attempts here by Yours.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bonjasky slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Yours drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bonjasky manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Yours has Bonjasky in his guard. Bonjasky decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Bonjasky cracks Yours with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Bonjasky scores with a body shot.
Yours is breathing heavily. Bonjasky pushes Yours up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yours throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bonjasky blocks it with crossed arms. Bonjasky working hard to break the clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Bonjasky's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bonjasky lands a nice hook to Yours's body. Yours takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Bonjasky lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Bonjasky is looking to slow Yours down with leg kicks. Bonjasky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bonjasky pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Yours dodges the punch combination from Bonjasky.

Yours fails with the takedown and Bonjasky counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bonjasky goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Bonjasky throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bonjasky moves into the clinch. Bonjasky has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Yours jumps guard but Bonjasky stands there with Yours around his waist. Yours gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Up Yours seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yours is looking to clinch. No joy there for Bonjasky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bonjasky swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Yours fails with the takedown and Bonjasky counters with a series of strikes. Yours will be more careful next time no doubt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Up Yours. That's going to take a lot out of him. This has been an exciting period of action! Bonjasky scores with a body shot.
Bonjasky connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A left lands for Bonjasky. Yours gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bonjasky counters with a nice uppercut. Bonjasky tries to bum rush Yours with a series of wild strikes but Yours uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bonjasky uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yours has time to react. Bonjasky throws a head kick that misses. Yours drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bonjasky manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Bonjasky keeps the fight on the outside. Yours with a lazy takedown attempt and Bonjasky counters with a left to the body. Remy Bonjasky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. An inside leg kick from Bonjasky misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yours shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yours was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Yours jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bonjasky is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bonjasky and Yours has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Yours is looking to take a break and control but Bonjasky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bonjasky struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yours goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bonjasky has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yours but great work by Bonjasky. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yours tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Bonjasky presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Yours tries to lock up and control but Bonjasky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bonjasky get's back to his feet. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bonjasky, right into the meat.

Yours tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bonjasky just stands there and leans against the cage. Bonjasky throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Yours pulls guard successfully.
Bonjasky stands and throws Yours's legs to the side, diving into side control. Yours striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Yours might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yours is looking for a sweep. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Bonjasky stands up and beckons Yours to his feet. Up Yours is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bonjasky takes the fight into the clinch. Bonjasky wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Yours can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Up Yours. That's going to take a lot out of him. A frustrated look appears on Bonjasky's face as he tries to break the clinch. Yours connects with a knee to the head.
Bonjasky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yours tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bonjasky paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bonjasky scores with the left hand. Yours knows he should have avoided that one. Yours with a poor takedown and Bonjasky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bonjasky lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bonjasky.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Bonjasky. Bonjasky throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Yours scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bonjasky is defending against the submission attempts here by Yours.
Yours is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bonjasky is just riding it out for now. Yours eventually gives up the hold. Yours tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bonjasky knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Bonjasky wants to stand and escape but Yours is having none of it. Bonjasky is trying to keep Yours in close.

Remy Bonjasky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Remy Bonjasky seems to be getting the better of the standup. Yours looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Yours is looking for submissions but instead, Bonjasky has regained full guard.
Yours wants to control from the top but Bonjasky keeps moving. Yours is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bonjasky is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bonjasky has escaped and now he's on top! Yours isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bonjasky stacks Yours on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bonjasky! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonjasky is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Yours will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Yours looks to move to half guard but instead Bonjasky has passed into mount! Damn! Yours tries to reverse the position but Bonjasky maintains control. Up Yours has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yours tries to improve his position but instead Bonjasky has taken his back! Bonjasky just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Yours tries to break free.
Bonjasky is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Yours has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. A bit of a pause in the action here. Bonjasky controlling the positon. Let's hope that Bonjasky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Yours's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bonjasky has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Yours has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Bonjasky keeps control of the position easily here as Yours tries to buck him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Yours tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Yours is desperately trying to improve his position but Bonjasky has a good base and remains in mount. Bonjasky controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yours tries to reverse the position but Bonjasky maintains control.
And that's the end of the fight! Remy Bonjasky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bonjasky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
