Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Dragomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vladimir Dragomon could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rex Mason's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Dragomon! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rex Mason! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dragomon throws a jab when Mason was well out of range. Dragomon throws a right hand that Mason ducks under and follows up with a left that Mason also avoids with ease. Dragomon throws a looping overhand right but Mason ducks down to avoid it. Mason will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mason fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dragomon misses with a head kick.
Dragomon lands with a nice body punch. Dragomon fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mason looks gassed! Dragomon lands a left and a right that sends Mason crashing to the canvas! Dragomon dives into mount looking to finish!
Mason is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dragomon is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Mason is still in real trouble! Can Dragomon finish him? Mason is trying desperately to improve position. Mason seems to have recovered his senses. Dragomon get's back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dragomon misses with a two punch combination.
Dragomon throws a sloppy head kick and Mason moves out of range easily. Mason closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mason creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Mason is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dragomon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mason tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Mason tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mason has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mason is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dragomon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mason wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dragomon, who protects the arm well. Mason swings around for an armbar but Dragomon sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mason's guard. Dragomon won't allow Mason to sweep him here. Mason escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dragomon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mason looking for a guillotine here but Dragomon defends easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Mason throws his legs up looking for a submission but Dragomon uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mason manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Mason seems to be working for a kimura but Dragomon defends the submission attempt. Mason throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dragomon tries to roll over but Mason keeps him under control. Mason tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dragomon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dragomon looking for submissions off his back. Mason is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dragomon is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rex Mason! Rex Mason is the new light heavyweight champion!
