Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barry gets caught napping as Slater dives in and scores a takedown. Barry manages to retain guard. Slater controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barry manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slater manages to get himself to full guard.
Slater seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tom Slater. A looping hook to the body misses from Slater. Barry does a little dance to reset his feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barry fails with the takedown and Slater counters with a takedown into side control. Slater is staying tight to Barry's torso, preventing him from escaping. Barry tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Slater wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Barry regains half guard. Barry wants to get back to full guard. Slater has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Slater lands a nice forearm strike. Slater scores with a couple of short elbows. Slater takes a little break here. Barry wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
