Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ive Nackershort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Ernst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nackershort might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to call to prayer. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nackershort throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ernst tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nackershort is in Ernst's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nackershort not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Nackershort seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ernst for as long as he can get away with. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
We're going to have a standup here because Ive Nackershort wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ernst showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nackershort.
Nackershort darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Ernst tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nackershort paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nackershort throws a low kick, looking for Ernst's leg but Ernst calmly moves out of range. Nackershort tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ernst swivels and escapes. Nackershort has his takedown stuffed and Ernst counters with a left to the body. Ernst is looking to clinch but Nackershort is avoiding it.
Ernst tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nackershort counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ernst!

Ernst will be more careful next time no doubt. Ernst moves to clinch but Nackershort breaks away and Nackershort counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
