And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samiel Yukio Queriza!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkins tries to land a front kick but Queriza steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Queriza misses with a takedown

and Wilkins counters with a single leg into guard. Queriza didn't expect that.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wilkins connects with a nice short shot to Queriza's temple.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Queriza holds on and takes a little breather.
Wilkins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Samiel Yukio Queriza hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
