Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between CJ Sears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grace Bernados (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sears's entrance music is fix my hat. A fine choice. Bernados is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by get up again. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grace Bernados! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sears closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bernados looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sears misses with the ground and pound. Sears working the ground and pound but Bernados is defending the strikes. Sears working the body and head with strikes. Sears lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Bernados regains half guard, as Sears was trying to land strikes. Sears decides to stand and escape the position. Sears darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bernados won't allow Sears to pass to mount. Sears is stalling here. Bernados is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sears seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bernados has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Bernados prevents Sears from escaping the position. Sears tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sears pushes Bernados away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bernados gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Sears is trying to improve his position. Bernados swings around for an armbar but Sears sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bernados's guard. Sears trying to control the position from guard on top but Bernados is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sears throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sears trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sears landing some decent shots from guard. Sears stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bernados swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sears throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sears trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sears working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bernados's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sears looking to pass the guard. Sears is working hard here to advance position. Sears distracts Bernados with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CJ Sears dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sears seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sears is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bernados is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bernados takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sears raining down shots from the mount! Sears can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bernados is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sears pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Bernados is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sears raining down shots from the mount! Bernados is still in real trouble! Can Sears finish him?

Bernados seems to have recovered his senses. Sears lands with some strikes. Sears with good strikes from the mount here! Sears wants to control the pace but Bernados is squirming around nicely. Sears landing strikes from the mount. CJ Sears overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sears cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sears is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bernados is surviving well by controlling Sears's body position as best he can. Sears lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sears scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bernados?
Grace Bernados has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! CJ Sears is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. BOOM! Sears connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that's the end of the fight! CJ Sears showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sears has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
