Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Corey Bigs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murray Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bigs comes to the cage accompanied by Danko Jones - Lovercall. Head is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Murray Head - One Night in Bangkok. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Corey Bigs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Murray Head! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bigs. Bigs throws a right and a left that both miss. Head gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bigs tries for a takedown. No joy.
Head has Bigs pushed against the cage. Bigs is working for takedown but Head is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corey Bigs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Head's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bigs shoots in looking for a takedown. Head tries to sprawl out of it but Bigs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Head manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bigs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Head counters with a left to the body. Bigs misses with a wild body shot. Bigs rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Head counters with a flying knee. Nice. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab lands there for Head.
It looks like Corey Bigs has been cut. Bigs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Head is fending him off so far but Bigs persists. Nope, Head circles away and we're back to standing. Bigs is breathing heavily. Head fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bigs manages to avoid it. Bigs closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bigs lands in his opponent's guard. Head tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bigs throws a strike but Head rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Head distracts Bigs with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Head working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Head trying to control but Bigs is working from the bottom. Head preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Head controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bigs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bigs throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Head stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bigs swivels though and keeps the full guard. Head must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Head trying to control but Bigs is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bigs looking for a sweep. Not yet Bigs, not yet. Bigs trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Murray Head was stalling too much, according to the referee. Head feints and then cracks Bigs's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bigs down. Bigs gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bigs shoots in and drives through. Head sprawls well. Horrible takedown by Bigs or perhaps it was just good defense by Head which made him look bad. Head digs a good body shot into Bigs's ribs. Head throws a front kick that sends Bigs stumbling back into the cage. Bigs on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Corey Bigs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Head thows a body kick. Bigs tries to catch it but that hurt him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Head cracks Bigs with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Donk. Head catches Bigs right on the button with a cross. Head looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Head fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Head tries to clinch there but Bigs circles away.
Bigs on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Head cracks Bigs with a right hand to the side of the head. Bigs drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Head scores with a hook to the body. Bigs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Head lands with a hook. Bigs tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bigs on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Head scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Bigs takes one to the chin there. Head buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Murray Head dominated that round. The cut man is working on Corey Bigs's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Head changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bigs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Head landing a few strikes. Bigs manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Bigs tries to pass to full mount but Head defends it. Bigs is trying to control. Head wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bigs is thwarting Head's attempts to control the position. Head moves into full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bigs in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Head managing to control the position. Head wants to stand and escape but Bigs is having none of it. Head bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bigs's guard. Head wants to control from the top but Bigs keeps moving. Bigs working for a triangle but Head defends it easily.
Bigs has momentary wrist control but Head slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bigs keeping moving, preventing Head from controlling successfully. Head loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bigs controls Head momentarily but Head frees himself. Bigs is really struggling to control Head but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Head engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Bigs tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bigs takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Head throws a head kick but Bigs moves out of range.
Bigs avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bigs throws a right hand that Head ducks under and follows up with a left that Head also avoids with ease. The fighters circling - Bigs throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Head keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Head lands a glancing blow to the side of Bigs's head. Bigs takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Bigs dives in and grabs Head's left leg, looking for a takedown. Head pushes down on Bigs's head and hops out. Bigs looks for a takedown but Head sprawls well. Head lands a high kick!
This has been an exciting period of action! Head lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Bigs dives in and grabs Head's left leg, looking for a takedown. Head pushes down on Bigs's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corey Bigs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Head tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Head wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Bigs walks into a stiff left hand from Head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A solid body kick from Head. Head thuds a left hand into Bigs's body. Head looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Murray Head showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Corey Bigs's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Head throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bigs. Bigs shoots and misses and Head counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bigs's knee momentarily. Head throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Corey Bigs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Head scores with a leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Head darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Corey Bigs's cut is getting worse. A jab from Head finds it's way through Bigs's defenses. Nice body kick from Head. A solid body kick from Head. This has been an exciting period of action! Head lands a jab to Bigs's midsection. Head feints and as Bigs raises his hands in defense, Head changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Head seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Head trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Head trying to control but Bigs is working from the bottom. Head scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Head has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Head engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Head working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bigs's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Head postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Head trying to control but Bigs is working from the bottom. Head postures up.
Bigs utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Head lands a couple of decent looking shots. Head is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bigs wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Head is now in half guard. Head moves nicely into side control. Corey Bigs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Head works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Head trying to control the position but Bigs is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Bigs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bigs is looking for a sweep. Bigs is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Bigs wants to control but Head is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Head is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Bigs tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Murray Head comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Head has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
