Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herrick Goldman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh comes to the cage accompanied by Immortal - Unearthly Kingdom. Goldman has chosen Gamma Ray - Blood Religion as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Herrick Goldman!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldman tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Chamakh counters with a nice double leg into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Goldman is on top in guard.
Goldman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chamakh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goldman is one step ahead there.
Goldman looking to sit in guard and control but Chamakh gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Goldman controls Chamakh momentarily but Chamakh frees himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Goldman is refusing to be controlled, as Chamakh sits in half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Goldman counters with a single leg into guard. Chamakh didn't expect that.

Herrick Goldman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Chamakh with a lazy takedown attempt

and Goldman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Chamakh's guard now.
Goldman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Goldman wants to control from the top but Chamakh keeps moving.
Chamakh looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Goldman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Herrick Goldman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Chamakh is looking to take a break and control but Goldman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Karim Chamakh.
I think Chamakh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
