Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy McDermot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Cahill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDermot comes to the cage accompanied by HL. Cahill has chosen Bringing it Back as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Cahill - that will leave a mark!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McDermot checks a leg kick.
McDermot closes the distance looking to clinch
and Cahill counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McDermot tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cahill blocks a head kick by McDermot.
Cahill lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Jimmy McDermot has been cut.
McDermot throws a head kick but Cahill moves out of range.
A head kick misses from McDermot.
Cahill lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
McDermot fails in his attempt to clinch.
McDermot fails with a takedown attempt.
McDermot throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A bone on bone clash there as McDermot blocks the leg kick.
McDermot throws a head kick but Cahill moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cahill cracks McDermot with an open hand slap.
McDermot throws a head kick that misses
and Cahill counters with a nice low kick that buckles McDermot's knee momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McDermot blocks a head kick by Cahill.
Cahill lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
McDermot on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Matt Cahill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cahill lands with a straight right. McDermot didn't see that one coming.
Nice straight punches there by Cahill. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cahill.
McDermot steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cahill.
McDermot on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Cahill jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
McDermot misses with a looping left.
McDermot tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cahill fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McDermot has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McDermot lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Matt Cahill has been cut.
Cahill wants to clinch up but McDermot keeps it at a distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McDermot.
McDermot blocks the body kick.
Cahill lands a jab to the nose.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McDermot throws a leg kick but Cahill checks it.
McDermot looks to land a body kick but Cahill moved away.
Cahill pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cahill uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Cahill throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McDermot stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McDermot scores with a nice strike.
Cahill fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McDermot looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McDermot is breathing heavily.
Cahill's jab looks to have found its range, popping McDermot under the eye.
Cahill plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
McDermot is rocked!
Cahill listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Oh McDermot is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jimmy McDermot's cut is getting worse.
and Cahill counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts McDermot! He's just covering up as Cahill starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
