Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Remy Dunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vicky Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegas has chosen The Prodigy 'Omen' as his entrance music. Remy Dunga is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegas misses with a right hand
and Dunga counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Vegas throws a hook but Dunga blocks it.
Dunga rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Vegas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dunga won't be happy with that.
Vegas misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The strikes coming from Vegas are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Vegas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dunga is trying to buck Vegas off.

Dunga throws a hook to the side of Vegas's head but Vegas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dunga misses with a body shot
and Vegas counters with a shoot takedown. Dunga fights it but they end up in guard.
Dunga wants to stand up but Vegas is controlling him.
Vegas passes Dunga's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dunga avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vegas.
Vegas is pressing down on Dunga's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dunga is holding on for now.

Dunga is not content to let Vegas control the position.

Vegas is trying to control the action in half guard but Dunga is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dunga kicks off Vegas and gets to his feet.
Dunga misses with a lunging right hand
and Vegas counters with a good low kick that Dunga was not able to check.
A left and a right from Dunga both land. Nice combination.
Vegas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dunga throws a series of punches but Vegas avoids them all with ease.
Dunga throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Vegas makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Vegas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Vegas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dunga swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dunga throws an off balance right hand
and Vegas counters with a three punch combo that has Dunga backing up. Dunga nods at Vegas to acknowledge the strikes.
Vegas lands a lovely overhand right.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dunga throws a lazy uppercut
and Vegas counters with a left to the body.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vegas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Vicky Vegas seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Vicky Vegas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Vegas has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Dunga is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Vegas yanks on the arm and Dunga is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Vegas.
