Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, DeAngelo Spite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Xuan Binh!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Binh misses with a hook. Spite ducked under it nicely.
Binh throws a lazy head kick
and Spite connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Binh throws a chopping leg kick but Spite manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Binh scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Spite avoids a wild elbow strike from Binh.
Binh misses with a punch on the inside.
Spite wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Binh has him pressed against the ropes.

Binh tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Spite's elbow.
Binh lands an elbow that stopped Spite in his tracks for a moment.

Spite lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Spite will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Spite throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Binh sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Spite thows a body shot but no joy.
Binh doesn't manage to clinch there - Spite circles away.
Spite lands with an uppercut that bounces Binh off the ropes and back into rage.
Binh staying out of range there.

Xuan Binh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spite tries to bum rush Binh with a series of wild strikes but Binh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Spite lands with a nice combination. Binh backs away looking to recover.
Binh avoids a punch combination nicely.
Binh tries to close the distance and clinch but Spite swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Spite's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Spite duly obliges.

Spite tries to bum rush Binh with a series of wild strikes but Binh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Spite falls off balance throwing a combination

and Binh counters with a shoot takedown. Spite fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Spite being controlled here, momentarily.
Binh passes Spite's left leg - he's now in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Binh content to control rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Xuan Binh dominated that round.

Binh throws a head kick that half lands.
Binh tries to land a front kick but Spite steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Spite swinging wildly here.
Spite lands a jab-cross combination.
Spite throws a series of punches but Binh moves out of range.
Spite throws a hook but Binh avoids it easily.
Spite scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Binh doesn't seem bothered though.
Good leg kick by Binh there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Binh counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Spite thows a body shot but no joy.
Binh takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Spite blocks the body kick.
Spite lands a jab.
Binh just misses with a punch to the body.

No joy there for Binh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Spite tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Binh was well out of range. Poor timing from Spite.
Binh throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Binh lands a nice looking kick to the body. Spite takes a step back to recover.
Binh has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


Binh is rocked!
A lazy left from Spite finds it's target.
Binh is still on wobbly legs! Can Spite finish him?
Spite throws a monster overhand right that drops Binh! Spite follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
