Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between CM Punk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Punk's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Champion. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hess misses with a lunging right hand
and Punk counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hess's guard now.
Hess wants to get back to his feet but Punk is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Punk keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hess's head.
Punk decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jon Hess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hess is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Hess lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Hess throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Punk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hess sprawls well initially but Punk persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Punk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hess sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hess is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Punk trying to control from half guard but Hess is working away.
Punk is working for a kimura but Hess is defending it quite comfortably.
Punk is looking to take a break and control but Hess is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Punk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hess sees it coming and defends easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Punk throwing shots but Hess is blocking nicely.

Punk is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hess is trying to escape and Punk transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hess is forced to tap! Nice work there by Punk! Very nice indeed!
