Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Swagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Cragen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swagger comes to the cage accompanied by Crawl/ Kings of Leon. Cragen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Captain Cragen. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swagger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cragen. Swagger gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cragen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Swagger clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Swagger tries to break free.
Cragen lands punches and elbows. Cragen not allowing Swagger to control his hands. Swagger manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cragen's guard. Nice work there by Swagger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Swagger looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swagger has gone for a leg lock! Cragen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Swagger's guard. Swagger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Swagger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cragen defends it easily. Swagger looking for a guillotine here but Cragen defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cragen stopping the sweep attempt from Swagger. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Swagger has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cragen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cragen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cragen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Cragen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Swagger wants to get back to full guard. Cragen throwing shots but Swagger is blocking nicely. Swagger gets back to full guard.
Swagger lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cragen!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swagger lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cragen manages to regain half guard. Good work. Cragen is refusing to be controlled, as Swagger sits in half guard. Cragen is trying to stand back up but Swagger is controlling him

Max Swagger dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Cragen dives in and scores a takedown into Swagger's guard. Swagger trying to keep a closed guard but Cragen is proving a slippery customer.

He's managed it... Nice work. Swagger stands up and beckons Cragen to join him on the feet. Max Swagger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Swagger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cragen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Swagger manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cragen throwing strikes but missing. Swagger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Swagger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cragen stands and steps away. Swagger gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swagger showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cragen.
Swagger gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cragen tightens his grip and picks Swagger up, before dumping him to the ground. Swagger manages to land in guard. Cragen preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swagger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cragen is aware though and is defending well. Cragen preventing the sweep. Swagger wants to stand up but Cragen is controlling him. Swagger wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cragen wants to control from the top but Swagger keeps moving. Swagger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swagger wants to sweep here but Cragen controlling him for the moment. Swagger trying to keep a closed guard but Cragen is proving a slippery customer.

Cragen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swagger has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cragen has managed to get both his arms back between Swagger's legs - danger averted. Swagger tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Don Cragen will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Cragen slaps away a takedown attempt from Swagger, before circling back to the center of the mat. Swagger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cragen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Cragen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Cragen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Swagger dodges the ground and pound from Cragen. Cragen connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Swagger some visible discomfort.
This has been an exciting period of action! Swagger is looking for a sweep. Cragen in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Swagger is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cragen is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cragen goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Swagger turns into him and now he's in Cragen's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cragen has his feet on Swagger's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. An inside leg kick lands from Cragen. Swagger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cragen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Swagger quickly recovers to half guard. Don Cragen has got the better of the ground game so far. Swagger is looking to improve his position.
Cragen postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Swagger to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cragen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Check out the look on Cragen's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Cragen working the body and head with strikes. Cragen working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Cragen sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Swagger is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Swagger tries to buck Cragen off but Cragen is having none of it. Swagger gets back to half guard. Cragen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Swagger wants to get back to full guard. Cragen seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swagger works his way to full guard. Good work. Cragen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cragen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Swagger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cragen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cragen trying to control the position from guard on top but Swagger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Don Cragen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cragen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
