And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dokonjonosuke Fujisaki!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Fujisaki. Fujisaki gets slowly back to his feet.
Fujisaki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily.

Fujisaki looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.
Fujisaki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dokonjonosuke Fujisaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Fujisaki on that attempt.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Fujisaki closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side
and Fujisaki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeremy Johnson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Fujisaki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.

and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fujisaki's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Johnson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fujisaki scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
