Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick James!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Adams misses with a takedown

and James counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Adams looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted.
James trying to control but Adams is working from the bottom.
Adams wants to sweep but no luck.

James postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Adams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of James, into his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

James escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Adams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Adams wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.

James is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Adams defends well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

James controls Adams momentarily but Adams frees himself.

Adams is in close to James's body, working some short punches and elbows.

James had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Adams defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
James avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Adams connects with a couple of short punches.
Adams lands a couple of elbows.

Adams slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

James tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Adams trying to control the position but James is working away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
James tries to bench press Adams off him but Adams keeps the position.
James gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

James looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James wants to control but Adams is keeping busy.
James tries to get to full guard but Adams has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nick James will probably get the nod.
That's time! Adams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



James has Adams up against the ropes in a clinch.
Adams dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.

Adams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

James gets a double leg takedown into Adams's guard.

Adams isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. James stacks Adams on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by James!

James is working to tighten is grip on Adams's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Adams has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but James is really squeezing tight and eventually Adams passes out! James breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Nick James!
