Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hood Lum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hood Lum! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lum misses with a takedown attempt and Henderson counters with a shoot takedown. Lum fights it but they end up in guard. Henderson won't allow Lum to sweep him here. Henderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Lum is retaining full guard. Henderson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lum is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Henderson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Henderson chips away with some ground and pound. Henderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

This could be trouble! No, Lum has managed to free his arm - good work. Henderson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Henderson is pressing down on Lum's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lum is holding on for now. Henderson not doing much here.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Henderson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Henderson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Henderson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lum looks gassed! Lum is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Henderson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Henderson's back! Henderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lum not allowing Henderson to control his hands.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Henderson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A momentary lapse in concentration from Lum enables Henderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lum manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lum has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Henderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We're going to have a standup here because Dan Henderson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Henderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Henderson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Henderson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Henderson stands up and beckons Lum to his feet. Henderson clinches with his opponent.

Henderson is trying to trip Lum. He has hold of a leg but Lum is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Henderson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Lum can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Henderson controls the pace. Henderson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lum, up you get!

Let's see if he can advance position further. Dan Henderson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Henderson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Henderson drops an elbow to the side of Lum's head. Henderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lum can do to turn this around? Henderson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Henderson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Henderson controlling the pace. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Henderson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
