Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shuler throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Shuler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kurmi wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Shuler tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kurmi is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Shuler off and has taken his back!

Shuler drives through and clinches with Kurmi against the cage.
Shuler throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kurmi blocks it with crossed arms.
Shuler swings wildly with an uppercut but Kurmi uses good head movement to avoid it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Shuler.
Shuler is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kurmi is defending well for now.

Kurmi manages to break the clinch.
Kurmi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shuler's waist but Shuler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kurmi off to one side.

Kurmi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shuler pinned against the cage. Shuler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Shuler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kurmi tries to avoid it but Shuler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kurmi to the ground. Kurmi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kurmi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Horrible takedown by Shuler or perhaps it was just good defense by Kurmi which made him look bad.

Kurmi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shuler sprawls well. Shuler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kurmi gets slowly back to his feet.

Shuler scores with a one two! Kurmi had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Sayar Kurmi has been cut.
Shuler bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Shuler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kurmi throws and elbow that misses. Shuler uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kurmi's guard. Nice move by Shuler!
Shuler passes Kurmi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
