The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ting fails with the takedown
and Barboza connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Bun Ting has been cut.
Barboza will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Barboza throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ting counters by moving into the clinch.
Ting lands a good knee to the midsection. Barboza won't want to take too many of those.
Ting tries to score a body lock takedown but Barboza shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ting is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Barboza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ting on the ground.

Ting shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barboza sprawls well. Barboza wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ting gets slowly back to his feet.

Ting throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barboza's waist but Barboza gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ting off to one side.

and Barboza counters with a slapping leg kick.
Ting shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barboza as he jumps to the side.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Barboza throws a head kick that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Barboza stuffs the takedown attempt from Ting. Ting gets slowly back to his feet.
Ting fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barboza.
Ting avoids the head kick by Barboza.
Barboza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ting lands with a nice combination. Barboza backs away looking to recover.
Ting misses with a takedown attempt - Barboza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bun Ting showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
