Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Vodkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergey Vodkin has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Vodkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vodkin looks to clinch and Emelianenko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Emelianenko is standing up over Vodkin. Vodkin looks to escape but Emelianenko dives into side control.
Emelianenko advances to full mount. Emelianenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Vodkin tries to control the position but Emelianenko now has his back.
Vodkin wants to control his opponent's hands but Emelianenko gets his hands free. Emelianenko keeps control of the position as Vodkin tries to break free.
Emelianenko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Emelianenko lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A bit of a pause in the action here. Emelianenko controlling the positon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko scores with punches from the back.
Vodkin covers up after that shot from Emelianenko.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
It looks like Emelianenko might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vodkin trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Vodkin is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Emelianenko.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Fedor Emelianenko hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Emelianenko pushes Vodkin away with a front kick. Vodkin is breathing heavily. Emelianenko uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Emelianenko takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Sergey Vodkin has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Emelianenko drives through and clinches with Vodkin against the cage.
Vodkin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Emelianenko gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Vodkin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Emelianenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vodkin has managed to get both his arms back between Emelianenko's legs - danger averted. Emelianenko looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Vodkin is fighting to break Emelianenko's control of his arms but Emelianenko is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Vodkin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vodkin looking to sit in guard and control but Emelianenko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vodkin is working an open guard so Emelianenko takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Emelianenko fails to land the takedown. Emelianenko with a lazy takedown attempt and Vodkin counters with a takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Emelianenko manages to get back to half guard. Emelianenko has one foot on Vodkin's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Emelianenko gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Emelianenko manages to pull guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fedor Emelianenko dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sergey Vodkin's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Emelianenko feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vodkin's calf. Emelianenko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Emelianenko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vodkin's waist but Vodkin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Emelianenko off to one side. Emelianenko clinches with his opponent.
Vodkin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Emelianenko pulls his leg out and moves away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Emelianenko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vodkin's half guard. Emelianenko works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vodkin trying to remain calm as Emelianenko controls from the top position. Vodkin tries to improve position but can't. Vodkin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Emelianenko moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Fedor Emelianenko. A momentary lapse in concentration from Vodkin enables Emelianenko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vodkin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Emelianenko is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Vodkin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Emelianenko closes the distance and clinches. Emelianenko drags the fight down to the ground.
Emelianenko lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vodkin! Emelianenko looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko working away from the top, dropping strikes. Vodkin is bucking up trying to escape but Emelianenko cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Emelianenko punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fedor Emelianenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Sergey Vodkin's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Emelianenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vodkin pinned against the cage. Vodkin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Vodkin fails in his attempt to clinch. Emelianenko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Well, if Emelianenko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Emelianenko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Emelianenko stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Vodkin to get to his feet. Vodkin gets the takedown into side control. Emelianenko explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Emelianenko misses with the combination.
Emelianenko drives through and clinches with Vodkin against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vodkin wants a takedown.
Emelianenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vodkin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Emelianenko shoots in and drives through. Vodkin sprawls well. Sergey Vodkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fedor Emelianenko. Vodkin wants to clinch. Emelianenko has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Emelianenko has his takedown stuffed and Vodkin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Vodkin tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Emelianenko avoids it. A head punch blocked on the inside by Emelianenko. Emelianenko manages to break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vodkin dives in and grabs Emelianenko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Emelianenko pushes down on Vodkin's head and hops out. Vodkin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Emelianenko. Vodkin is looking to clinch but Emelianenko is avoiding it.
Vodkin closes the distance looking to clinch and Emelianenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vodkin's guard. Vodkin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Emelianenko defends well. Emelianenko is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Emelianenko won't allow Vodkin to get back to his feet. Emelianenko engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Sergey Vodkin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vodkin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Sergey Vodkin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Emelianenko tries for a takedown but Vodkin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fedor Emelianenko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Emelianenko drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Fedor Emelianenko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Emelianenko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
