Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antti Hirvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has chosen PELIMUSA as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Hirvi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jose Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirvi throws a body kick the misses
and Sanchez counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hirvi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hirvi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hirvi swings widly with a right hand
and Sanchez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hirvi clinches up with Sanchez and pushes him back against the cage.
Hirvi on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Sanchez is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hirvi is defending well for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sanchez throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hirvi.
Jose Sanchez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Hirvi counters with a good, hard body kick but Sanchez shrugs it off.

Sanchez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sanchez tries to clinch but Hirvi is having none of it.

Hirvi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Sanchez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Hirvi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That was a close round but I would say that Antti Hirvi will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Sanchez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hirvi is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hirvi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sanchez as he avoids it easily.
Sanchez throws an overhand right that lands on Hirvi's shoulder, as Hirvi tries to avoid the shot.
Hirvi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Sanchez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hirvi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sanchez.

Hirvi clinches.
Sanchez lands a hook that snaps the head of Hirvi backwards.
Hirvi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sanchez scores a nice knee to the body.
Sanchez avoids a wild elbow strike from Hirvi.
Sanchez is looking to control Hirvi's arms but Hirvi gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sanchez has his back to the cage.

I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
