Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Kirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chalupa Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tihuana - Tropa de Elite kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirk ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kirk throws a push kick but Jones slaps the foot to one side.
Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
Kirk looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Kirk lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Jones throws a poor cross that misses
and Kirk counters with a nice leg kick.
Kirk thumps Jones with a low kick.
Kirk throws a poor cross that misses
and Jones counters with an inside leg kick.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kirk swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kirk walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kirk counters with a body kick.
Kirk throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jones.
Jones lands with a hook. Kirk tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kirk misses with a left hand
and Jones counters with a low kick, right behind Kirk 's knee.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Kirk. Kirk gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones throws a leg kick
and Kirk counters with a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kirk lands a front kick.
Kirk is looking to land body kicks.
Jones checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Kirk gets a double leg takedown into Jones's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kirk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kirk wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
Kirk connects with a couple of short punches.
Kirk prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.
Kirk slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jones tries to buck Kirk off but Kirk is having none of it.
Jones defending against the ground and pound.
Kirk sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jones is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Kirk tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
An elbow from Kirk crashes against the mat.

Kirk has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jones is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kirk yanks on the arm and Jones is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kirk.
