PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristow Zedski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dean's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eminence Front. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zedski shoots in and bounces Dean off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Dean has his foot on Zedski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zedski works his way back into a safe position though.

Dean working for a triangle but Zedski defends it easily.

Dean working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zedski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zedski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Zedski scoring with some ground and pound.

Zedski decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dean, up you get!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Zedski fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dean to the ground. Zedski is now in Dean's guard.
Dean is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dean has momentary wrist control but Zedski slips an elbow through the middle.

Zedski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zedski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Zedski working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dean's head.
Zedski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dean's head.

Dean had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zedski defends it easily.
Zedski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Zedski has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dean is proving hard to escape from.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dean gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dean lands a damaging elbow.
Zedski lands with a right to the head.
Zedski lands a hook to the side of the head.

Zedski manages to break the clinch.
Nice defenses there by Dean.
Zedski thuds his right hand into Dean's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Zedski swings for the body but Dean moves out of range.
Zedski scores with a shot to the body.
Zedski drops Dean with a straight right hand, right on the button! Zedski follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
