The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rage goes for a high kick. It partially lands. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rage is defended easily by Batusai. Rage drives through with a takedown into Batusai's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Rage looking to sit in guard and control but Batusai gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Batusai throwing strikes but missing. Batusai throws and elbow that misses. Rage uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Batusai's guard. Nice move by Rage! Rage is stalling in the full guard. Batusai is looking for a triangle but Rage pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rage trying to control but Batusai is working from the bottom. Rage controls from within his opponent's guard. Rage wants to control from the top but Batusai keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Flash Rage has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Rage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rage throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Batusai was covering up waiting for the punch and Rage finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rage looking to sit in guard and control but Batusai gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rage throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batusai in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Batusai postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Batusai loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rage avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Batusai thows a big elbow that misses. Flash Rage dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Batusai counters with a stiff right hand. Rage slaps away a takedown attempt from Batusai, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rage with a lazy takedown attempt and Batusai counters with a nice kick to the body. Rage throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Batusai counters with a takedown into side control. Batusai stands up and we're back to a striking position. Batusai fails in his attempt to clinch. Rage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Batusai avoids it really well and circles away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rage fails with the takedown and Batusai counters with a leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flash Rage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body kick there by Batusai. Batusai throws a nice outside leg kick. Flash Rage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. It looks like Flash Rage has been cut. Batusai looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rage tries to move into range but Batusai moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Batusai doesn't manage to clinch there - Rage circles away.

Rage with a poor takedown and Batusai counters with a single leg into guard. Rage didn't expect that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Batusai controls from within his opponent's guard. Batusai working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Kenshin Batusai has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kenshin Batusai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Flash Rage's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Batusai wants to control but Rage passes easily into half guard.
Rage is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Rage trying to mount his opponent but Batusai defends it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batusai is refusing to be controlled, as Rage sits in half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Rage takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Flash Rage wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Rage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rage takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rage fails with the takedown and Batusai counters with a solid body kick. Batusai shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rage but Rage pushes him off and we're back to square one. Batusai misses with a body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Batusai. Rage shrugs it off though. Batusai lands a head kick!
Kenshin Batusai seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Batusai scores with a spinning back kick! Batusai pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. That kick from Batusai tenderised Rage's leg. Rage is trying to keep his angry face on. Rage misses the body punch and Batusai counters by clinching up. Batusai comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Batusai throws an elbow but it misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Kenshin Batusai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Batusai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
