The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masterson loads up on a big right hand but Kenji slips the punch. Kenji tries to clinch there but Masterson circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kenji looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kenji throws a sloppy head kick and Masterson moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kenji throws a half hearted mid kick. Masterson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kenji misses with a hook
and Masterson counters with a nice body shot. Masterson wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kenji throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Masterson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A slow jab from Masterson misses its intended target. Kenji tries to clinch there but Masterson circles away.

Masterson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kenji throws an overhand right that lands on Masterson's shoulder, as Masterson tries to avoid the shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Masterson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Masterson walks into a jab. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kenji throws a low kick, looking for Masterson's leg but Masterson calmly moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenji lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Masterson throws out a leg kick but Kenji moves out of range and Masterson only half commits. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Masterson misses with a body shot.

Kenji digs a right hand underneath Masterson's ribcage. Masterson let out a lung full of air as it connected. Masterson swings wildly with an uppercut but Kenji uses good head movement to avoid it. Kenji pushes Masterson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Kenji lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. And that's the end of the fight! Kurokawa Kenji comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kenji winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
